Doljabi Table

The centerpiece of the celebration is the doljabi table, adorned with various objects that symbolize different futures or fortunes for the child. Common items include:
  • Thread or Yarn: Signifies longevity.
  • Books or Pencil: Represents scholarly pursuits and academic success.
  • Money: Symbolizes wealth.
    Rice or Rice Cake: Indicates a life of prosperity and abundance.
  • Stethoscope: Implies a future career in medicine.

Traditional Attire

  • Hanbok: The child is dressed in a colorful hanbok, a traditional Korean garment. Family members may also wear hanboks to honor the occasion.
  • Jobawi or Gulle: These are traditional hats worn by the child. Boys typically wear jobawi, and girls wear gulle.
